BAD BEAT JACKPOT

The Real Poker Xperience, Inc. Bad Beat Jackpot is a prize funded by its host venues that will be paid when a sufficiently strong hand is shown down and loses to an even stronger hand held by another player. The specific requirements for how strong a losing hand must be to qualify for the jackpot, the payout structure and other rules are listed below:

Minimum Hand Requirements:

Jackpot #1Jackpot #2
Four-Of-A-Kind BeatenAces-Full Beaten
  • Jackpots will start with the funding of Jackpot #1 until it reaches $250.00;
  • At that time, one-half of the jackpot contributions will fund Jackpot #1 and Jackpot #2 will be funded with the other half;
  • If Jackpot #2 is paid out and Jackpot #1 is still available, the contributions to each will continue to be funded as above;
  • If Jackpot #1 is paid out and Jackpot #2 is still available, then Jackpot #1 will receive 100% of the jackpot contributions until it reaches $250.00 again;
Payouts:

60% will be paid to the loser (person who lost the "Bad Beat")
30% will be paid to the winner of the "Bad Beat" hand
10% will be retained to start the next jackpot

Rules:

To qualify as a "Bad Beat" both the winning and the losing hands must:

  • be the player's best possible combination of five cards;
  • include both of the player's hole cards (Four-of-a-kind MUST include a pocket pair — Aces-full MUST include one Ace);
in the event of multiple qualifying hands during the same evening of play, the following will apply for the Bad Beat Jackpot. The best winning hand will win 100% of the share posted below and if applicable, the best losing hand will win 75% of the share posted below and the second-best losing hand will win 25% of the designated share;

When a "Bad Beat" situation is announced there must be a minimum of four (4) active players at the table to qualify for a Bad Beat Jackpot. Active players are defined as players that still had chips and where dealt cards during the "Bad Beat" hand, and were present at the table during the playing of the hand. Players acting as "announced" bounties DO NOT qualify for the "Bad Beat" jackpot; "unannounced" bounties WILL qualify.

If a "Bad Beat" is announced, all action at all tables will conclude, blind timers will be paused and the Lead Dealer will validate the hand, fill out the proper paperwork and turn the paperwork over to RPX management within 24 hours;

RPX management will validate the hand and all paperwork and, upon management’s validation, will notify the winner and loser of the "Bad Beat" hand by phone. If RPX management determines the hand did not qualify, the reason will be discussed with the players by phone. Discussion of hands during the play by players, at the discretion of Management, may void a Bad Beat Jackpot;

"Bad Beat" jackpot payouts will only be distributed at RPX monthly tournaments, a W-9 will be required to be filled out by the winners of the payouts, and photographs will be taken. No consideration (at time of prize distribution or in the future) will be given for the use of the winners of the payouts likeness, names, amounts won, or other information on its website, advertisements or other media;
